Property Description

This TOP OF BOONE 2-story plus loft Cedar log cabin is located just 3 miles up from the Boone city limits and Appalachian State University. The elevation is 4500'. It sits on a one acre lot nestled in the woods. The area is very quiet and secluded with pretty mountain views through the trees.

Relax outside and enjoy the tree top views on the large wrap around deck. Watch the birds and wildlife feast at numerous bird feeders. An occasional herd of deer may trot through or a flock of turkey may unexpectedly take flight.

You can hike up to the old fire tower for spectacular city views or hike down and feed the gold fish at the stocked pond. Then you can come back home and enjoy a cook-out on the propane BBQ grill.

On a cool day you can cozy up inside with a book in front of the gas log fireplace, while still enjoying the pretty view through a wall of glass windows. The sofa sleeper in the living room can be used for extra guests. The open loft bedroom features a king size bed and a full bath with a Jacuzzi tub. The main floor features a bedroom with a double bed, TV and DSL modem. So bring your lap top and stay connected. The kitchen has all of the conveniences of home. It is stocked with cookware and dishes. There is a gas range, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave oven and a dishwasher. The day light basement with separate entrance features two double beds and a full bath. There is a game room with pool table and a dart board. For your convenience, extra bedding and towels are provided but there is also a washer and dryer.

Whether you enjoy ASU football games, skiing, fishing, canoeing, tubing, rafting, cave exploration, hiking, bicycling, antiquing, shopping, or fine dining, this location offers access to all this plus relaxation. Visit the town of Boone, the village of Blowing Rock or hike the trails of the Blue Ridge Mountains and then return to your cabin to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Rental Policy

Rental Policies

The cabin, is located at 137 Broken Arrow Trail, Boone, NC 28607

1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 1 P.M. EST AND CHECK OUT 3 P.M. EST.Please make arrangements for early arrival or late check-out.
2. This is a NON SMOKING cabin.
3. Pets are permitted in rental cabins with prior approval.
5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage/reservation deposit of $200 is required. This must be received within 2 (2) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
a. No damage is done to cabin or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in trash containers and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher
d. All keys are left in the cabin and the cabin is left locked.
e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
f. No linens are lost or damaged.
6. PAYMENT – RENT is due(7) days before your arrival date.
7. CANCELLATIONS: A seven (7) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made less than seven (7) days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 5% Cancellation fee or $50 whichever is greater
8. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel sixty (30) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least fourteen (14) days prior to check-in.
9. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests per cabin is limited to ten (10) persons. An additional charge or $10.00 per person per night for guests in addition to ten (10) will be assessed.
THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A TWO(2)NIGHT MINIMUM STAY; 3 nights during peak and holiday seasons.
10. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than three days, the guest will be charged the three-night rate.
11. INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup.
12. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the cabin, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however is available at an additional rate.
13. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice.
14. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
15. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
16. PARKING – Parking is limited to two(2)vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.
17.FIREPLACES: The fireplace is a non-vented propane gas log fired firebox. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace.
18. STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS: No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. Gravel drives are maintained, however we do not refund due to road conditions.
19. WATER AND SEPTIC: The cabin is on a well and septic systems. During a drought, the well water may have low pressure.
